Chloe in Pink

Hi all, Madge here for another Wonderful Wednesday at OCS.  I have really stepped out of my “monochromatic Madge” box for this card.  P1010496 copyDon’t you just love this image!!??  It is available at OCS and is called Chloe from the Elizabeth Bell Collection of Whimsy Stamps.
I have to admit, this is really out of the box for me with the bright pink and lime green.  When I looked at the little bee at the right, I know I should have added some stitching around the image – but too late.
Materials used:  Memento tuxedo black ink; Copic Markers; Xpress It blend cardstock; Bo Bunny DP; Flowers; EK Success and MS border punches; Cardstock from stash.

Tilda and her Bunny

Another Wonderful Wednesday and the weatherman says it will be sunshine!!  The card that I made was actually a Birthday Card for a friend who loves Purple and loves Butterflies…………  Many moons ago I thought it might be an Easter card, but it didn’t happen.  But Tilda can have bunnies any day of the year – right??
This stamp is called Tilda with Bunny and is available at OCS.  I am s-o-o-o passionate about these little Magnolia stampsP1010286
This is an Easel Card, which I love to do.  I even managed to do some actual STITCHING on it!!  (My sewing machine was in shock when I turned it’s light on). lol    The papers I chose are from Prima Marketing, “Sweet Fairy” collection.  I love their subtle look.   As I’ve mentioned before, I really admire people that can put patterned papers together  - when I do it looks like a dog’s breakfast.   BUT, I did it with this card!!P1010287 copy

Materials used:
Tim Holtz Distress ink  (Antique Linen)
Memento Black Tuxedo ink
Xpress-It-Blending Cardstock
Copic Markers  (from the BG and V family)
White Glaze Pen
Spellbinders Scallop Squares and Tags One
Prima Marketing, “Sweet Fairy” 6” x 6” pad
Flowers and Pearls
Diamond Glaze (Glossy Accents) (with a sprinkle of Cool Highlight Glitter
Misc:  MS Fern and border punch, butterfly charm, rubons, SU cardstock

Tilda Loves Flowers

April is Birthday Month for friends and family.  I’ve been chomping at the bit to be able to put this card on my blog – but I had to wait until the recipient had it in her hot little hands.!!!
P1010289 copy
I absolutely adore this little “Tilda loves Flowers” image (Diana at Magnolia-licious, has such a great selection).  I found a smallish piece of a Basic Grey dp from the Porcelain Collection that I had been hoarding……….  and had to use it.  Pink and Green!!  Can you get anymore Spring-like??
I fussy-cut Tilda until I reached her bouquet – then – well, I mussy-cut.  LOL
It has been so-oooooo long since I’ve posted a Magnolia image -  Hope you like it.  I’m really pleased with this folds on her dress!!  What do you think?
Yup, I’m  shamelessly fishing for compliments…………. LOL

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes  (anything goes)
Magnolia Stamp Lovers  (butterflies)
Wags n Whiskers Challenge (anything goes)

Cordelia – Kraftin Kimmie

Hi all, Madge here for another Wonderful Wednesday!
The stamp of choice for today is Cordelia from Kraftin' Kimmie. P1000957 copyIsn’t she a sweetie!!??  Coloring her was sooooo much fun.  The camera doesn’t pick up the iridescent highlights, but they are there.  I used Copic Markers toP1000955 copy color the image.

I sponged a DP cut from Spellbinders Labels 17 for the background and a couple of DP’s from Echo Park “Splash collection” to fit into the Fun in the Sun theme for OCS this month. As this card will be mailed, I tried to keep the dimensionals to a minimum, using “dap” sealer for popping the fish, fins and bubbles away from the background.  The seaweed is another Spellbinders die which was sponged to give it some “pop”.
Hope you will participate in the August challenge at OCS – for a chance to win OCS $$$.  ~ Rubber Hugs ~

Stampavie - Zoe Gazing at Butterfly

Madge here for another “wonderful Wednesday”.  Today, I’m sharing a card made using  an sweet stamp from  Stampavie called ZOEP1000819 GAZING AT THE BUTTERFLY by Sarah Kay. This must have been a popular one as I don’t see it in Lora’s store at the moment. I purchased it because the image was so sweet, and because my grandmother’s name was Zoe. A perfect combination!
I absolutely love the Xpress it blending cardstock made especially for copics, the color doesn’t disappear, but remains bright and beautiful.  I stamped my image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, colored it with copics and then cut it into a rectangle, rounding the corners.  I backed it with a die cut from Marianne Creatibles and backed that with a 6 x 6 Webster’s Page.  I then fussie-cut two side panels from a Webster’s Page and mounted it over top of the matted image.  The butterflies and pearls came from my stash.  I  then mounted it onto a 6” square card base.
Keeping in the theme of our July Challenge at One Crazy Stamper, I used two papers from Webster’s Pages, One image and three embellishments (butterflies and pearls).  I hope you will join in on the fun at OCS challenge and post one of your creations for a chance to win OCS $$$.

While this is being posted, Art and I will be enjoying sun, salt water, and fireworks. See you next week!
